Undisclosed Manor House - Visit 14 |
29th
January 2011 |
|
Parts of this building date back to the fourteenth century originally a medieval hall house many original features remain including the great hall itself. Never investigated until we chanced across it some years ago this venue has given us some great results but less so in recent visits, so we are always hopeful that the next visit will be the night it all happens. It was a very cold night, despite being indoors, but wrapped up well we hoped for a more productive evening. Aim: A return to one of our favourite venues with the hope of again witnessing
some paranormal phenomena and to record evidence of possible paranormal
activity. |

The Investigation | ||
Apparatus: Camcorders: Sony DCR HC-62 with night vision and Sony HVL-IRM IR light Digital Camera: Fuji Fine Pix S1600 Fuji Fine Pix S5500 Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-38 X 2 Voice recorder: Olympus VN-2100PC Olympus DM20 HNSAT DVR958 Other: Tripods, Torches, Video tapes (MiniDV) Using our normal visual and scientific methods combined with spiritual
theory, we adopted a more relaxed method. We find that a lot of things
can occur during breaks or when we are not actively on a vigil. For this
reason we spent more time in the crew room in the hope that whilst we
were doing so, and were more at ease, something unexpected may occur Unlit walk around : Whole house Started ground floor kitchen, first floor via rear servants staircase, length of the first floor room till descending via the main staircase, entrance back to great hall and crew room. At moments during the walk around Ian did call for anyone who was curious about what we were doing to make themselves know or approach us. Session 1: crew room (unlit) We sat silent for a while before calling out for recordable activity. Session 2: crew room (lit) A repeat of session one but with the light on, as there is as much possibility of activity in these conditions, so we thought we would try this. Additional walk around: West wing After a break we discussed the reported phenomena one of which is a sighting in what's called The Tudor Room. We had spent time in this room on previous visits to no avail, even slept in it for the night, however, a review of the records regarding this sighting suggested that we in fact had the wrong room. For this reason we spent some time exploring this possibility. |

Conclusions | ||
Unlit walk around : Whole house
The smell of burning wood was investigated and it was found that a fire have recently been lit in the fireplace of the adjacent great hall, this had not been noticed before but did explain the smell. The beep sound was identified as a malfunctioning battery powered smoke
detector. Session 1: crew room (unlit) With no results no conclusions can be drawn. Session 2: crew room (lit) With no results no conclusions can be drawn. Additional walk around: West wing With no results no conclusions can be drawn. During our stay a certain amount of other information was forthcoming to the team of a clairvoyant nature. As Ghost Connections conducts scientifically based investigations we do not publish such observations, however, this information is held on a separate database and may prove interesting when compared to other peoples experiences.
